Resolution to Adopt the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan

WHEREAS, MLK Labor has established a practice of developing a Strategic Plan every three years to coincide with the terms of the elected officers.

WHEREAS, the MLK Labor Executive Board held a full-day retreat in May to develop a set of organizational goals to serve as the framework for our Strategic Plan. These goals are Racial Justice, Building a Unified Labor Movement, Advocating for Pro-Worker Public Policy, and Organizing New Workers.

WHEREAS, over the course of the past six months, workgroups consisting of Executive Board members, delegates, and professional union staff met to develop a Strategic Plan.

WHEREAS, at the September Delegate Meeting, the draft Strategic Plan was shared with delegates, and people met in small groups to discuss the plan and give feedback which was incorporated into the final plan.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT MLK Labor adopts the 2022-2024 Strategic Plan and entrusts the Executive Secretary-Treasurer and Labor Council staff to carry out the mission set forth in the plan.
