Janus Decision Will Not Break the Resolve of the Working Class

MLK Labor Executive Secretary-Treasurer Nicole Grant issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court issued their decision in the Janus v. AFSCME case.

“The Janus case is just another attack by the rich and powerful to rig the system against all American workers — especially those who belong to unions.

“Nobody can tell workers how strong their unions are going to be. Our country’s history has shown that when workers stand together, we win. No court case can change that fact.

“We will continue battling the forces of greed, racism, and sexism so that all working people have a shot at leaving a better life to their children. Washingtonians know that having a Union is a ticket to the middle class, and I know they will continue standing together to improve the lives for their families.”
