Informational Picket Against Alaska Airlines on Tuesday
Join IAM Local 2202 for an informational picket against Alaska Airlines on Tuesday (3/12) from 11-12:30.
Local 2202 is in the midst of an epic contract fight with Alaska and needs the support of the labor community! Their message is: “No more outsourcing, no more subcontracting, we need to know that we have a future with this company.”
The rally starts at 11 at IAM 2202 HQ at 19415 International Blvd, SeaTac, Washington 98188.

Monday: Meet the Amazon Tech Workers Standing Up for Climate Action
Our next MLK Labor Climate Caucus will meet this coming Monday, March 11 at 5:30 PM at the Seattle Labor Temple in Hall 6 on the first floor. We’re really excited about this meeting! We’ll be hearing a presentation from Amazon tech workers and shareholders about how they are organizing around climate change.

Saturday: Book Launch for High Voltage Women: Breaking Barriers at Seattle City Light
Come out tomorrow (March 10) for the book launch for “High Voltage Women: Breaking Barriers at Seattle City Light.”
This is local labor historian Ellie Belew’s latest book. It’s the story of ten women who entered the utility’s male-dominated electrical trades beginning in the 1970s. Belew is joined by pioneer tradeswoman Megan Cornish, who was one of the pathbreakers at City Light.
When: Saturday, March 9 // 7 PM
Where: Washington State Labor Council Building, 321 16th Ave. S., Seattle
