Job Description:

The role of a Server Assistant is to be the right-hand person to restaurant servers and hosts. They help with tasks like removing used glassware, silverware, and plates from guests’ tables at the end of their meals and cleaning and resetting the tables once the guests have left.

The WAC is unique from other restaurants in that we hire servers and server assistants to cover two of our restaurants and occasionally our in-house hotel, creating a fun and dynamic work environment!

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works with other dining and service staff to model WAC values and contribute to the WAC mission and vision.
• Builds trays of food orders based on order tickets and delivers requested and standard products during all meal periods in a timely and professional manner. Anticipates members’ needs and acts promptly.
• Answers room service phone line when it rings more than 3 times as per SOP. Able to take Room Service orders accurately.
• Able to check server orders accuracy using the POS. Verifies this with the server prior to delivering food to the table.
• Contributes to the cleanliness of the dining room and its service areas and completes all assigned side-work.
• Thorough knowledge of product, cooking technique and presentation regarding menu, fresh sheet, and beverage menu.
• Able to follow WAC policies and F&B Policy Guide.
• Demonstrates knowledge of activities in the Club House and the local downtown area.
• Performs other/additional duties and responsibilities as needed or requested.
• This role does not act as a bartender or go behind the bar.

• Ability to read non-verbal cues regarding Member’s and guest’s response to service and product.
• Ability to operate necessary equipment safely and correctly.
• Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours per day; ability to lift 50 pounds at or above shoulder height.
• Ability to perform a variety of body movements such as stooping, bending and twisting.
• Ability to withstand frequent exposure/contact with water, noise, and heated dishes.
