Job Summary:

Dishwasher Position for Bon Appétit Management is responsible for maintaining cleanliness of dish machine, dish return from conveyor, dish room and kitchen.  Specific duties include: cleaning  floor mats, stacking all dishware safely and restocking all items to kitchen and Cafe.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort and wash dishes.
• Refills cafe servery with clean utensils, plates, and bowls.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators and large equipment.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Comply with all sanitation, ServSafe and safety requirements.
• Remove all compostables, recyclables and trash to designated containers.
• Assist in back dock organization and proper trash and waste receptacle treatment.
• Transfer supplies, equipment and food between storage and work areas.

• Possess customer service skills and abilities, able to take feedback and respond positively.
• Ability to use a timekeeping system to properly record time worked for payroll processing.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Walk, stand and work for prolonged periods of time; effectively communicate; use hands to handle objects; stoop, kneel or crouch; reach with hands and arms.
• Utilize all Personal Protective Equipment per Bon Appétit guidelines.
• Ability to follow instructions from multiple managers, chefs and supervisors.
• Ability to work in an inclusive and diverse group/team and function efficiently.
• Ability to follow all unit health and safety requirements.
• Food Handler Certification required.

• Ability to interact with a diverse and high volume customer base in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to answer basic questions regarding unit operations and direct other questions to appropriate parties.
