Job Summary/Basic Function:
Everett Community College (EvCC) is seeking a Biology Instructor committed to creating equitable and quality access to STEM education for learners from diverse backgrounds. This is a full-time tenure track position beginning Fall 2022. We encourage applications from candidates who identify with groups that are historically underrepresented in higher education.

This position reports to the Dean of STEM & Health Professions. Primary responsibilities include:
Through our Guided Pathways Advising model, full-time Instructional and Counseling faculty serve as program advisors for students. Faculty in these areas are assigned a caseload each year in line with the AFT Faculty Contract. These duties include, but are not limited to building and maintaining professional relationships with advisees to support them in their goals, creating, reviewing and approving academic plans; providing career and/or transfer advice; and making referrals to appropriate EvCC support services.
AFT Washington is a state federation affiliated with the 1.6 million American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO. We represent about 6,500 members including faculty from the community and technical colleges and pre-K through 12 classified employees. We also jointly represent professors at Eastern, Central, and Western Washington universities and The Evergreen College with the Washington Education Association.
