Position Summary

Biology faculty at Skagit Valley College are working together with our Nursing program to provide a seamless and solid transition from one nursing prerequisite course to the next.  Creating a positive learning environment for students using diverse teaching methods is a priority of the Biology department including providing hybrid and distance education learning. We need an associate faculty member ready to be part of our team, able to teach core Pre-Nursing biology courses, including General Biology, Microbiology and/or Anatomy and Physiology. This posting will also be used to recruit for faculty able to teach Microbiology as part of the core Pre-Nursing Biology series.

The College has a current opening for Biology part time faculty, beginning Summer Quarter, June 2022 with continuing need anticipated into Fall quarter and beyond. This opening is based at the Mount Vernon Campus, however positions may become available at either the Mount Vernon or Whidbey Island Campuses. Positions may become available at any time and are typically filled on a quarterly basis.
