Labor of Love Awardee

Teens in Tacoma | Tacoma, WA

Teens in Tacoma is an organization that hopes to reveal the artistic potential of teenagers in Tacoma, WA while extending expression to artists who are not expressed in a holistic way. Teenagers are not always highlighted or included in artistic projects, or viewings. They work to build connections with teen artists, extend networks, change the perception of an art museum’s audience, and inspire others to build ideas for Tacoma.

Throughout 2020, they have used art to support the work of Black Lives Matter and other social causes by lifting up Black and Indigenous art. Teens in Tacoma is run by Executive Director Moe’Neyah Holland.
