MLK Labor Statement on Seattle Prop 1A

Voters send a loud and clear message that they want Seattle leaders to do more to address our housing crisis. This program sets a new standard for creating good construction jobs and apprenticeship opportunities while tackling our severe lack of housing units. This funding will make a real difference, however, city leaders still need to work to address our housing shortage and ensure teachers, nurses, firefighters, and other working people can afford to live in Seattle.
