Job Summary/Basic Function:
Nestled between the scenic Cascade Mountains and Puget Sound in an increasingly diverse and fast-growing region of the country, Everett Community College is seeking a tenure-track Transitional Studies instructor to begin serving in the fall quarter of 2022.

Job Summary/Basic Functions: Everett Community College has an opportunity for a full time Transitional Studies (TS) instructor. This is a tenure-track position reporting to the Dean of Transitional Studies. Primary duties include:

  • Teach a 15 credit load per quarter for 3 quarters; Adult Basic Education.
  • Advise students in their course selections and programs and make referrals as necessary; -Serve on college committees and contribute to campus activities;
  • Through our Guided Pathways Advising model, serve as program advisors for students. Faculty in these areas are assigned a caseload each year in line with the AFT Faculty Contract. These duties include, but are not limited to building and maintaining professional relationships with advisees to support them in their goals, creating, reviewing and approving academic plans; providing career and/or transfer advice; and making referrals to appropriate EvCC support services.
  • Contribute to student success through innovation and collaboration.
  • Provide division leadership and collaborate with other entities on campus and in the community; Participate in all other tasks in accordance with the faculty contracts and college policy. Everett Community College is committed to increasing cultural diversity among its staff.
