Job Summary:
The Eastern Washington University, School of Social Work, Child Welfare Training & Advancement Program (CWTAP) is currently seeking a full-time faculty member at the rank of Lecturer beginning with the 2022-2023 academic school year. This position has a nine-month academic year appointment with an anticipated three-month summer appointment (CWTAP faculty work full-time, year around). This position is anticipated to be on-going and renewed annually dependent on performance, need, and grant funding. The CWTAP has a 25+ year history of successful grant renewal. Interested candidates currently working in the Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) or other state service may be eligible for an intergovernmental leave of absence.

CWTAP Lecturer's work exclusively with MSW students in the CWTAP providing field instruction and supervision, teaching on child welfare topics, and academic advising. The CWTAP is designed to enhance professional practice in child welfare, recruit and retain highly trained, ethnically diverse social workers with advanced degrees, and provide educational assistance to current and/or potential social workers committed to a career in public child welfare. CWTAP students complete their practicum in a DCYF child welfare office.

The School of Social Work is part of the College of Professional Programs. The BASW and MSW programs prepare students for generalist and advanced generalist social work practice in both rural and urban communities. The EWU School of Social Work is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
