The dinner cook prepares and provides members and their guests with quality food in a timely, professional and courteous manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather and prepare all tools and implements needed for the shift.
• Assist cooks and pantry personnel in miscellaneous tasks.
• Develop and standardize the use of all items in station area.
• Follow standard recipes and plate set-up per WAC standards
• Submit orders of groceries and supplies daily to the Executive Chef and/or the Receiving Department.
• Recommend and establish improvements in food presentation as needed or desired after conferring with chef for suggestions and approval.
• Assist on the line during serving as business dictates.
• Maintain walk-ins as expected.
• Clean machinery, steam pots and griddles, etc., on a regular basis. Return cleaned equipment to the proper areas in the kitchen.
• Clean floors and other areas.
• Communicate effectively with other staff.
• Assist other team members in completing responsibilities.
• Report to appropriate supervisor any needs, problems or suggestions to help productivity of the operation.
• Must possess a current food handler’s permit issued by the State of Washington.
