POSITION PURPOSE:
The Courtesy Clerk is first and foremost responsible for customer relations and satisfaction. They provide courteous, efficient bagging, carryout and general customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help create a culture of food exploration, innovation and education for customers and employees.
- Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with an emphasis on fast, friendly, courteous service.
- Maintains a friendly and cooperative working relationship with wo-workers and supervisors.
- Assists customers with product location, unloading carts, bagging orders and providing carryout service as required.
- Verifies prices, returns merchandise from the check stand area to display area, retrieves shopping carts from parking lot, and ensures adequate supply of bags in the check stands.
- Responsible for maintaining company cleanliness and safety standards in check stand area, store aisles, restrooms, entryways and parking lot.
- Responsible for performing all job duties with honesty and integrity.
- Performs other duties as requested or required by upper management.
