Position Summary

Seattle Central College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Biology instructor to join the STEM-Business division. We welcome candidates who promote multicultural understanding and anti-racist practice, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to student learning and educational goal attainment. This is an opportunity to join a team that works effectively and collaboratively with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds in a vibrant and inclusive urban campus climate that advances all aspects of equity. Seattle Central College is located in a biologist's paradise -- surrounded by marine ecosystems, forests, and mountainous terrain within a 30 miles radius.

The Biology Program offers a wide range of courses. Teaching responsibilities depend on division needs and instructor's background. Currently, the strongest demand for instructors is in Anatomy & Physiology, and Nutrition. The biology department supports the use of a variety of instructional modalities, such as face to face, virtual hybrid, hybrid and online, as well as an extensive use of technology. Class times and modalities vary and may include days, evenings, and weekends according to program needs. Instructional modalities include face to face, virtual hybrid, hybrid, and online.
