Are you interested in jumpstarting your career? The time has finally come! WeTrain Washington is hosting our next Meatcutter Pre-Apprenticeship Program!

WeTrain Washington’s FREE 6-week, mostly online, Meatcutter Pre-Apprenticeship Program is now accepting applications!

Our King County cohort will run from June 11th-July 23rd and our Snohomish cohort will run from June 12th-July 24th.

Those who complete the program get:

  • The opportunity to interview for a meat department job with employers who have UFCW
    3000 contracts.
  • Access to the Puget Sound Meatcutter Apprenticeship program – where they will get
    fully-trained as a journey meatcutter!
  • Up to $28.70 an hour. * (That’s the highest paid union-represented position in the grocery
    store.)
  • A lifelong career that could take you from entry-level to supervising your own shop.

If you are interested, it is optional to attend an information session on zoom to learn more about the program before applying. During these info sessions our WeTrain team will be going over all the details of the program and answering any questions you may have. The info sessions will run for 1 hour.

Once you select one zoom session & register, you will then receive confirmation for the session.

*Important* The zoom session on April 16th is exclusive to women interested in the program and will be led by female apprentices currently working in the meat industry.
