Job Description:  The ideal Banquet Houseperson is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Salary: $23.41

A day in the life…

  • Responsibilities include providing ridiculously personal experiences by ensuring the setup for events is superb; following set up diagrams
  • Moving, lifting, placing and organizing event settings

Requirements
  •  Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in order to assist guests directly with special requests and concerns.
  • Must have ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

UNITE HERE Local 8 represents about 5,000 workers in the hospitality industries of Oregon & Washington State. Local 8 members work in hotels, restaurants, food service, and airport concessions. They include room cleaners, cooks, bartenders, bellmen, food and beverage servers, bussers, and dishwashers. Local 8′s parent union, UNITE HERE, represents hotel, food service, and gaming workers throughout the US and Canada.
