As we begin to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, organized labor remains Seattle’s strongest asset. Union workers in the construction, health care, grocery, transportation, and hospitality industries on the front lines of our ongoing public health, economic, and social crises have the practical experience required to confront these challenges – and we need your help!
Join us for a Worker Power Policy Summit! All unionized and non-unionized labor are encouraged to attend.
The summit will feature a panel discussing how to build organizational power during the recovery as well as break-out rooms where workers can discuss the issues most important to their industries and communities and share their expectations for city leaders.
The panel will feature:
Sara Nelson, International President, Association of Flight Attendants – CWA
Vanna Orecchio, Political Organizer and Business Representative, IUPAT DC 5,
Gabriel Prawl, President, Seattle chapter of A. Philip Randolph Institute
Joe Mizrahi, Secretary-Treasurer, UFCW 21
Billy Hetherington, Political Director LiUNA!, Local 242
Moderated by Nikkita Oliver, Candidate for Seattle City Council Position 9
