FAQ:

When and where is the MLK Labor Vaccine Clinic taking place?

The MLK Labor Vaccine Clinic is taking place on Saturday, May 8 when we will be administering the first vaccine doses. We will hold a second clinic on Saturday, June 5 to administer second vaccine doses. The clinic will be held at the IBEW 46 headquarters (19802 62nd Ave S #105, Kent). The clinic can be accessed through the Fellowship Hall entrance on 62nd Ave S.

Appointments will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. but you must register in advance to get a vaccine. Register at: www.mlklabor.org/vaccines

Who is eligible to receive a vaccine?

This clinic is open to anyone over the age of 18, including yourself and members of your household. At this time we are only scheduling people who have not received a first vaccine dose.

What vaccines will be available at the MLK Labor Vaccine Clinic?

We will be administering Moderna vaccines at our clinic. Click here to access the Moderna vaccine info sheet.

Who is going to administer the vaccine?

Vaccines at our clinic will be administered by union firefighters, who have been delivering vaccines since they became available.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

  • A photo ID, (if you have it, but it is not required). If you do not have a photo ID, you will still be able to get a vaccine for free.
  • A mask or face covering
  • Wear short sleeves or a garment with a sleeve that can be rolled up or easily moved in order to administer the vaccine in your upper arm.

Can I bring my family to my appointment?

Children are welcomed to accompany you to your appointment if you are unable to find childcare. You should only bring other family members if they are also planning to get vaccinated and have registered for an appointment. Use this link to register your family (must be 18 years+): www.mlklabor.org/vaccines

Do I need to arrive early for my appointment? What happens if I’m late?

Please arrive as close to your appointment time as possible. We will not run out of vaccines, and you do not need to arrive early in order to ensure you get vaccinated. If you are late, we will try to accommodate you but cannot guarantee we will be able to slot you in. Our advice is that you do your best to arrive at your exact appointment time.

Do I need to have an American ID to get a vaccine?

No, while recommended, it is not required to bring a photo ID to your appointment. You only need your appointment confirmation code, sent to your email after you register for an appointment. Everyone who registers for an appointment at our clinic will be able to get a vaccine regardless of status.
