Job Summary: Assists in maintaining a clean, safe, well-operating store facility. Provides cleaning support and oversight. Maintains internal and external store areas, including equipment and fixtures. Proactively identifies opportunities to increase workplace safety and health, and makes appropriate recommendations/takes appropriate action.
Specific Job Duties:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performs general cleaning and maintenance responsibilities for the interior and exterior of the store, including surrounding grounds.
- Assists Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining interior and exterior areas of the store, including equipment and fixtures.
- Provides excellent customer service, including helping customers find products, locating team members to best serve customer needs, and pleasantly cleaning-up any breakage or spills resulting from customer accidents.
- Prevents internal and external loss.
- Demonstrates dependability and flexibility; meets attendance requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Store Director team.
Skills Required / Qualifications:
Candidates will be selected from applicants having the best combination of the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in cleaning, maintenance, and light industry-related repair.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry-related cleaning tools and solutions. MSDS experience preferred.
- Demonstrates understanding of basic health and sanitation requirements.
- Proven success as a team member; demonstrates an exceptional work ethic.
- Demonstrates a high-level of self-motivation; takes initiative.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines a must. Sense of urgency required.
- Proven ability to interact and perform all job responsibilities with professionalism and confidentiality essential.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs and climb ladders.
- Must possess a valid Food Handler’s Card.
- Must have a valid WA State Driver License and responsible driving record.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
