THE ROLE
Team members within our Meat Department have the opportunity to engage with guests through prompt fulfillment of guest orders, sharing knowledge about our quality products and ensuring our meat department areas are clean and well-stocked. Â Our fast-paced environment requires team members to successfully prioritize between routine tasks (such as food display upkeep and organization) and immediate guest needs. Â We seek outgoing, friendly individuals to help us deliver high quality, fresh meat products to our guests! Â The Apprentice Meat Cutter will also be required to participate and complete a three year off-site training program.

•   Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm and sincerity; customize approach to meet guest needs and build rapport through individualized service.
•   Effectively assess, anticipate and follow-through on customer needs and questions related to products.
•   Actively work to remain knowledgeable and current in areas of responsibility, including product knowledge.
•   Move with ease from greeting to providing product information, up-selling, closing the sale, thanking guests, and inviting them back.
•   Effectively perform meat cutting responsibilities; minimize product loss while producing visually attractive merchandise that will appeal to guests.
•   Maintain safe environment for guests and team members; ensure hazardous conditions are promptly handled in an appropriate manner.
•   Ensure that highest quality products are stocked; appropriately remove and replace outdated product from sales areas on a daily basis.
•   Assist with the development and maintenance of product displays that create an exciting marketplace.
•   Actively participate in product promotions/focuses and community events.

Â Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines; they will possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
Our team members deliver exceptional customer service and possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Â Hired team members will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of product information with a willingness to use knowledge to best service guests.
We strive to find candidates with knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines. Â Ideally, our new Apprentice Meat Cutter will have completed an accredited meat cutting program.
