MLK Labor makes early endorsement for Teresa Mosqueda

Seattle — At their January meeting, MLK Labor delegates representing more than 150 unions and 220,000 union workers voted to endorse King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda for re‑election. This early endorsement is the first labor council endorsement of the 2026 cycle.
The Labor Council also endorsed the Federal Way Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy.
MLK Labor Executive Secretary-Treasurer Katie Garrow issued the following statement on the endorsement of Councilmember Mosqueda:
“MLK Labor is proud to endorse King County Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda for re‑election. As someone who rose directly from the ranks of the labor movement, she has never lost sight of our values.
Throughout her service in public office, Councilmember Mosqueda has been steadfast in her commitment to working people and their rights on the job. She consistently centers the well‑being of working families and sets a standard for leadership across our region. Unions appreciate her work fighting for fair pay, enforcement of labor standards, and the essential public services that working families depend on.”
All MLK Labor endorsements received at least a two-thirds majority vote from MLK Labor Delegates.
